Description: Licensed School Psychologist

This posting is for the 2023-2024 School Year, however an earlier start is possible.



Job Summary: 
  • Coordinate initial student evaluations from planning meetings through evaluations and reporting.

  • Manage Student Assistance Teams in two elementary school buildings (grades K-5).

  • Develop behavior management plans and work directly with students in the enactment of those plans.

  • Work collaboratively with special services team members to support the academic, character, social and emotional growth of learners.

  • Collaborate with IEP team members to design, coordinate, and deliver a rigorous and appropriate education for students with disabilities.

  • Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional.

  • Maintain due process paperwork according to District, State, and Federal guidelines.

  • Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology.

  • Establish and maintain high standards for the educational experience of students.

  • Provide district-wide support within area of expertise as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Current Minnesota Teaching License required.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage student behaviors.

  • High level of due process expertise required.

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate meaningful discourse in IEP meetings.

  • Experience working directly with students in classroom setting preferred.

  • Effective classroom management skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving.

  • Experience with curriculum, assessment, and accommodation design.

  • Understanding of the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents.

  • Ability to use technology as an instructional and behavior management tool.
